Why the confusion exists
Search results for this topic mix two different products. One is a lightweight account and dashboard tool. The other is a large beta game client for testing upcoming updates. Similar names, completely different software.
The tool on this page
Unlock Beta FF v98 is a 31.5 MB Android utility. You install it, bind a game ID, and use dashboard sections for profile, social, store, mail, and unlock menus. It is a companion to your game, not a replacement for it.
The beta server apps
Beta server apps are full game clients, often several hundred megabytes, built for playing pre release OB builds. They install as a separate game and have nothing to do with the dashboard tool described here.
How to avoid downloading the wrong one
Check three things before you tap any download button: the file size, the version number, and the feature description. A 31.5 MB v98 file with dashboard features is this tool. Anything hundreds of megabytes with OB versioning is the other product. Our Advance Server comparison goes deeper on the official side, and the myth debunking guide clears up the rest of the confusion.
The safe rule
When in doubt, match the file to the description on the safety breakdown. The real v98 build is free, light, and needs no paid unlock.
